My Story
I am just a country boy from middle Georgia. I have always had dreams but never did I dream. I hope you are inspired as you read.
About Me
I was born into a ministering family. At a young age I gave my heart to the Lord and began singing and playing music with my dad and brother. I believe I wrote my first song at age 7. Our style was country and southern gospel. I have a rich heritage of music.
My family and I began traveling together and we sang all over the southeast. The family chemistry and harmony was so fun. We met so many great people and to this day some of those are still great friends.
After traveling with my family for many years, I became a worship and youth pastor in Alabama. Eventually that led to moving to a church in Indiana and a few years later met my wife, Rachael. Together we now have 3 wonderful children. One has graduated college, one is a sophomore and our youngest is a senior in high school. We have seen the Lord use us in Indiana, Michigan, Colorado and Georgia. My entire family is pursuing the call of God on their lives and I couldn’t more humbled and proud of the blessings God has given me.
My style of music has ranged from contemporary, modern worship to adult contemporary with a bit of a soulful flare. I have deep roots and heritage in traditional church music and southern gospel. I have huge appreciate in the ministry of music across multiple planes.
More recently, the path the Lord has led me on has brought me to a place beyond my dreams. In the fall of 2024 I got a call and opportunity to join Newsong, one of the most iconic bands in Christian music. I am so humbled at the opportunity to join these men of God who have blazed a trail for decades and seen many come to Christ through their music, concerts, tours and Winter Jam.
How did this come about? I do give all honor to God. My heart has always been to serve the Lord and see loves changed. Staying faithful to that call has led to many open doors and blessed relationships. Simple yes’s along the way have created paths to walk in.
In 2019, after spending most of my musical days leading churches in worship, I answered the call to travel with my friend, JJ Weeks. He is the writer of the hit song “Let Them See You” which was number in Christian radio and even cover by Colton Dixon. In 2020, we both had the opportunity to serve on Winter Jam. I met so many wonderful people but made a strong connection with all the Newsong Crew. Never did I dream that relationship would lead to having the honor of singing hits like Arise My Love, Miracles, Christmas Shoes and many more alongside heroes of the faith and music I grew up with.
I am exited as to what the future holds. I am looking forward to all the people I get to meet and connect with in the coming years.
